Mr & Mrs Partington knew that the old flat roof on their kitchen extension was in urgent need of replacement and at first they thought of converting it into a pitched roof with conventional glazed panels. That is, until they saw one of the Droylsden Glass atrium roofs.
Although Droylsden Glass had never previously fitted a new glazed atrium into an existing roof, they surveyed the property and decided that it could be done. Then after custom-manufacturing the atrium unit they installed it on site and completed the job, including internal plastering, in only five days.
Mrs Partington revealed that at first she was worried that replacing the roof could cause damage to her modern kitchen, but the Droylsden Glass team made certain that the interior remained spick & span and unblemished.
Now she says the room, in fact the whole house, is so much brighter and more cheerful, and she can sit in her amazing kitchen while she gazes at the sky and the stars. “It’s absolutely beautiful and I just love it!”
