Delivering High-Spec Security and Energy Efficiency for a Returning Client
📍 Project Overview
We recently completed a comprehensive window and door replacement project at a residential property in Bolton for a returning client. The brief was to enhance the home’s energy performance and security while maintaining a clean, traditional aesthetic.
The installation included:
• 21 Deceuninck 2500 Traditional White uPVC casement windows
• 2 GRP composite doors with reinforced frames and high-security hardware

🛠️ The Challenge
The client required a robust solution that could accommodate triple glazing for improved thermal efficiency. This added weight meant all window frames needed full reinforcement to maintain structural integrity and long-term durability.
Security was a top priority, and the specification had to meet modern standards without compromising usability or appearance.
✅ Our Solution
We specified Deceuninck 2500 casement windows in white uPVC, chosen for their classic styling and compatibility with high-performance glazing. Each unit was fully reinforced to support the 40mm triple-glazed units, which featured low-E and low-iron glass for optimal insulation and clarity.
To ensure ventilation compliance and occupant comfort, we installed trickle vents—a discreet but essential feature that helps prevent condensation and maintain indoor air quality.
Security features included:
• Avantis KUBU Superior multipoint locking mechanisms with bi-directional hook locks, mushroom cams, and shootbolts
• Glass locks and hinge guards
• Quad restricted hinges offering egress and easy-clean functionality
The two GRP composite doors were finished in Black Ash Brown externally and white internally, with matching reinforced uPVC outer frames. Each door was fitted with:
• Avantis composite door lock
• Avantis cylinder guard
• Composite door hinge bolts
• Black hardware for a sleek, cohesive look

🌟 Outcome
The completed installation delivered a significant upgrade in both thermal performance and home security, while preserving the property’s traditional appearance. The reinforced frames and advanced locking systems offer long-term peace of mind, and the triple glazing ensures year-round comfort.
