The GGP Awards aim to recognise those installers, services, and individuals which have really stood out for their hard work, unique design and innovation. Each category is judged by industry experts, including representatives from FENSA and Certass, so it is a huge accolade for Droylsden Glass to have been selected to win an award.
Winning Projects
Two separate case study projects by Droylsden Glass caught the eye of the judges, including a modern orangery and aluminium conservatory.
The modern orangery project was based in Offerton, Stockport, for a customer wanting to extend their living space and create more room for dining with guests, all whilst maintaining high energy efficiency and flooding the space with plenty of natural light. This same client also opted for the same Deceuninck 2800 windows in white uPVC throughout the home, and added a new Safeguard composite front door to tie all the details of their home together. The result impressed the customer’s neighbours so much, it generated another sale from his neighbour opposite, which was the second case study recognised by the experienced GGP panel of judges.
The second case study, an Anthracite Grey aluminium new conservatory, was for a client that wanted a glazed extension for extra space, with airy garden views and a glass roof. To meet the brief, we installed a Eurocell aluminium conservatory roof with Smartglass Blue glass units to enhance thermal efficiency, adding Bolster bars to provide additional glazing bar support and structural steel supports, as well as Smart Visofold 1000 6 pane bifold doors and Deceuninck 2800 casement windows to create our client’s dream conservatory.
