The Tele Data offices are situated at the former Shell HQ, Delta House within Manchester Airport City Enterprise Zone. Such close proximity to one of the world’s biggest and busiest airports meant that the office environment was prone to a high level of noise pollution.

To reduce noise transmission and create a quieter interior working environment, secondary glazing was the perfect choice. Granada Secondary Glazing: lift out and horizontal sliding models

At Droylsden Glass, we use high quality secondary glazing from Granada Secondary Glazing. For this project, we used a combination of 56 horizontal sliding SS2 secondary glazing units and 41 lift out units to improve the performance of 159 of the Tele Data premises’ 6th-floor windows. All the units were fitted with clear low-E toughened glass to improve safety and help reduce solar glare.

The secondary glazing units were finished in brilliant white to match the existing window frames and were attached to the interior windowsill and ceiling to ensure that the exterior appearance of the property was not impacted by the new windows.
