A large semi-detached late Victorian house in Birkenhead was the focus of our work with clients who wanted to replace deteriorating timber windows and doors with something more modern and energy-efficient.

The rotting timber window frames were letting cold air into the property while allowing warm air to escape – not ideal at all! Our clients wanted to make their house warmer while maintaining the elegant looks of the late Victorian period.

Our solution was to install Liniar flush sculpted profiles. These are made from uPVC yet don’t lose any of the looks and quality associated with traditional timber framed windows. In fact, as energy-efficiency goes they perform much better than their timber equivalents, with an A+ rating.

Multipoint locking systems were fitted to the windows, along with white furniture, and each unit was finished in a Grey on White colour scheme.

The clients were supplied with a Duraflex composite door with a three-star security cylinder and a Stormguard aluminium threshold. The door was finished in Grey on White to match the property’s windows.
