View productA handsome detached house from the Victorian era was the subject of work to replace timber windows and doors that were long past their sell-by date.
Droylsden Glass were called in when the homeowners of this traditional red-brick property with a double-bay frontage decided their existing hardwood frames were in a poor state of repair, causing draughts and heat loss, especially in the winter months.
The owners had looked at our many hundreds of excellent reviews on Trustpilot and decided that they would engage us for the work.
After consultation with the team at Droylsden Glass, it was decided that to save on bills and improve insulation, new windows would be installed that would reduce heat escape and improve insulation all round. The homeowners decided upon Liniar sculptured profiles in white uPVC, complete with A-rated double glazed units and white furniture. Profiles like these don’t lose any of the looks and quality associated with traditional timber framed windows. In fact, as energy-efficiency goes they perform much better than their timber equivalents, with an A+ rating.
As security was another important consideration, a multipoint locking system was fitted to all the replacement windows.
The clients also decided to have a new front door fitted at the same time. They chose an elegant composite model with a Stormguard aluminium threshold and a three-point security cylinder. The door was finished off in classic black, with two glazed panels and a white frame.
